Did you know that the Chicago Blackhawks are one of the top teams in the NHL? They have a great record this season with 47 wins, 26 losses, and 9 games into overtime! They’re third overall in the Western Conference.
The United Center is their home stadium, which is shared with the Chicago Bulls. Other events are also sometimes held there. The UC opened on August 18, 1994.
The Blackhawks, an outstanding team, made their debut on November 17, 1926 in front of over 9,000 fans who came to witness this history! They defeated the Toronto St. Pats with a final score of 4 – 1. The Blackhawks are one of six of the original NHL teams. They have won six Stanley Cups over the many years they’ve played. Those years included 1934, 1938, 1961, 2010, 2013, and most recently 2015. Overall, the Blackhawks are an amazing team and occupy a great place among Chicago teams!
